Return Policy

If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, please return it to us within 30 days for a refund. Items must be in original new condition (not worn, not washed, not altered) and must still have all tags attached for a refund in the original form of payment. Items returned without tags or that are not in original condition may not qualify for a refund. Items purchased as FINAL SALE cannot be returned or exchanged.  

Return by Mail

Please allow 5-7 days for transit time.

  • Fill out the return form included with your order and be sure to include the form in the return package.
  • Affix the prepaid domestic shipping label to the shipping box.
  • Take your package to a FedEx location.  Locations include FedEx Stores, FedEx drop boxes, FedEx customer centers and authorized retail outlets.
  • A $7 fee will be deducted from your refund for the return shipping and handling costs when your return arrives after 14 days of the date your receive it.
  • Returns will be processed within 3-5 business days of receipt.


Items purchased as "FINAL SALE" cannot be returned or exchanged, no exceptions. Promotions including gift cards, coupons and promo codes, cannot be applied to Final Sale purchases.


At this time we cannot automatically process exchanges. To exchange an item, please return the item you wish to exchange and place a new order on our site.

If you ship your return using another method, please be sure to ship your package using a trackable, insured shipping method and keep the tracking details for your records.

We do not assume responsibility for reimbursement or compensation in the event that a return package is lost, stolen, or mishandled.  We reserve the right to refuse return of any merchandise that does not meet our return requirements.


Once your return package has been received, your refund will be processed and credited to the original form of payment within 3-5 business days.  You will be notified via email once the return transaction has taken place.  Please note that your banking institution may require additional days to process and post this transaction to your account.

Return to Theory Retail Store

New and unused merchandise may be exchanged or returned for a refund in the original form of payment at a Theory retail store accompanied by an online invoice within 14 days of receipt. merchandise cannot be returned to any Theory Outlet locations.
Shoes and handbags purchased at can only be returned via mail and cannot be returned to retail stores. 

Items Purchased at Other Locations

Items purchased at retail stores, department stores or any other store selling Theory merchandise may not be returned to
