In anticipation of Father's Day, dedicated daughters around the office shared what's on their must-have-for Dad shopping lists. Besides an unexpected South Africa trend, laid-back basics were an office-wide favorite. We hope you enjoy the old-school photos as much as we did.
1. Shaye Vercollone, Public Relations: "My dad is taking our whole family to South Africa this fall, so for Father's Day I'm getting him Safari, a beautiful coffee table book by Patrick De Wilde, to get him excited for our own safari photos. The Gerald sportshirt in Culloden will also be a perfect gift for him because it's lightweight-linen and casual -- ideal safari-wear."
2. Amanda Shine, Events: "Surfing is my dad's passion, and every year my brother and I give him something to remind him of the waves. This year we scoured Saturdays in Soho and came up with Surfer Magazine 50 Years and Verta sunscreen for when he's on the beach. To keep him feeling sporty, we also picked out the Ernest polo in Motor."
3. Allison Coates, Creative: "My dad restores old cars as a hobby, so he spends a lot of free time in his old college T-shirts. I'm getting him the Marcelo tee for a more clean-cut version of his old standby."
4. Becca Halev, Creative: "My dad's from South Africa, and a part of him has never left. He's always decked out in sport shirts and cargos, looking safari-ready, even though the Upper West Side is a far cry from the game parks of SA! So, for Father's Day I'm getting my dad the Mario sportshirt in Fatigue. I know it will get a lot of wear."
5. Holly Liss, Social Media: "As native Angelinos, my dad and I love nothing more than eating at our favorite burger joint In-N-Out, so this year I'm getting him an In-N-Out gift certificate and the Leopold polo in Seasalt to freshen up his go-to dress-up shirt."
