Holiday Return Policy
Theory.com orders placed November 13, 2023 to December 25, 2023 are eligible for return (no restocking fee) until January 15, 2024 or 30 days after receipt, whichever is later. Please visit theory.com/returns to submit your return request and retrieve a prepaid return label. Final Sale items are not eligible for return or exchange.
Standard Return Policy
Theory.com will accept return merchandise in its original and unused condition, provided that all tags are attached and accompanied by an original receipt within 30 days of purchase at Theory.com. Gifts purchased on Theory.com may only be returned for store credit or exchanged within 60 days of original purchase. Merchandise purchased at Theory.com at a discount of 41% off or more, or labeled as Final Sale, may not be returned or exchanged. Please allow 7 business days for shipping transit time. For Instagram and Facebook orders, please initiate return on the app where you placed the order. To ensure a positive shopping experience for all our customers, if we identify an unreasonable return pattern, we may restrict or refuse future transactions from such customers. We also reserve the right to terminate accounts and limit purchases in our sole business discretion. Beginning October 24, 2022, we will no longer accept online returns in our retail stores.
Theory products are made with carefully selected materials and should be handled with care for longer product life. All Theory apparel will feature an interior tag with care instructions.

At this time we offer size exchanges only. Exchanges should be sent back with the return packing slip included in box (one order per box).
Exchange orders are processed with the same delivery address and ship method as the original order. Once submitted, exchanges cannot be modified or cancelled.
Please send back your return item(s) as soon as possible to guarantee your exchange order. If any items are no longer in stock due to inventory changes, we will refund your original form of payment.
Once UPS has your return, your exchange order will be processed. All returned/exchanged items are subject to inspection by our Warehouse Team. In the event the wrong item(s) is shipped to us, your original form of payment will be charged for the exchange order.

To initiate a return please click here. Returns received after 14 days of your delivery date will incur a $9.95 restocking fee (not applicable during our extended Holiday Return policy). If you are unable to initiate a return label please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Returns should be sent back with the return packing slip included in box (one order per box).
Once your package is ready for shipment, you may drop it off at the nearest UPS location. You can also schedule a UPS pickup here.
Returns will be processed within 5-7 business days of receipt.
Refunds should appear on your account within 3-5 business days after processing. Please note items may be processed separately, you will receive separate returns confirmation emails.
We do not assume responsibility for reimbursement or compensation in the event that a return package is lost, stolen, or mishandled. We reserve the right to refuse return of any merchandise that does not meet our return requirements.
You can select a Standard Return to return with self-postage or an Express Return to return with a prepaid DHL label for a discounted/negotiated rate (Canada and Mexico return for free), to initiate a return click here. All duties, taxes and shipping paid is non-refundable. However, you may be able to recover these by contacting your local customs bureau directly. FINAL SALE Items
Items purchased as "FINAL SALE" are not eligible for return, exchange or credit without exception and merchandise is sold as is. Promotions including coupons and promo codes, cannot be applied to Final Sale purchases.
Items Purchased at Other Locations
Items purchased at retail stores, department stores or any other store selling Theory merchandise may not be returned to Theory.com.
Theory Retail Store Purchases
Theory will accept return or exchange merchandise in its original and unused condition, providing the tags are attached and accompanied by an original receipt within 30 days of purchase at any standalone Theory Retail store. Theory Retail store merchandise cannot be returned to a Theory Outlet location. Theory will issue a refund in the form and amount tendered for the original transaction excluding cash purchases. Cash purchases may only be returned for store credit. Returns and exchanges accompanied by a gift receipt may only be returned for store credit or exchanged within 60 days of original purchase. Gift card sales are final and may not be returned. All merchandise purchased at Theory retail stores and Theory.com at a discount of 41% off or more, as well as swimwear, intimates, jewelry, and special order items are final sale and may not be returned or exchanged.
