Named after the address of the brand’s design and innovation center in New York City, this is Theory at its highest expression. The most luxurious fabrics, sourced from the world’s leading mills. Advanced silhouettes, meticulously designed and perfected at the atelier. It is a celebration of craftsmanship and intention.
The 79,000-square-foot design and innovation studio houses state-of-the -art machinery, and a team developing industry-leading techniques. Nearly 200 experts sit—and design, source, cut, and sew—at 2 Gansevoort each day.
Each piece goes through countless tiny tweaks throughout every step of the process, from fabric sourcing to pattern cutting to wear testing. Because how a garment feels and fits is just as important as how it looks. Through supple textures, warm hues, and thoughtful attention to detail from Theory’s design team, the capsule comes into sharp focus this fall, stitch by stitch. 200 experts sit—and design, source, cut, and sew—at 2 Gansevoort each day.

“For Fall 2026, we kept coming back to a few words: sleek, refined, sensual. The Demitria pant has been a client favorite for a while, so the question was how to evolve her to connect that language without losing what people love. Fabric was the answer, and we spent years of extensive research and development to perfect it. The rich, double-faced construction creates a compact, sculptural look with a natural slimming quality. By pairing a polished sculptural stretch fabric with this iconic silhouette, we created a pant that feels like a second skin and looks undeniably powerful and feminine.”

Finishing Touch
“The design inspiration for this capsule started with New York at night, and our muse was jazz musician, Chet Baker. Images of Chet in Times Square enveloped in a wool coat inspired this style—a rich, Italian wool with the details you’d expect on a classic trench (the belt, a collar that fastens all the way up). Every proportion was carefully considered to ensure it feels balanced whether worn open or closed, to comfortably cocoon the wearer on city days, after dark.”

In Reverse
“One of the greatest challenges in developing a reversible shearling jacket is achieving a refined silhouette without sacrificing warmth or luxury. Natural shearling inherently adds volume, so our team spent multiple rounds of fittings carefully adjusting key measurements, shoulder shape, and body volume. With its subtle sheen, rich texture, and plush, elevated pile, we created a clean, modern profile that feels comfortable while maintaining a polished appearance—offering two distinct identities in one style.”

“A true circle skirt carries an inherent sense of joy and emotion. The idea was to take a familiar, full silhouette and elevate it through one of our core leather fabrics. But this isn’t typical leather. It was developed with a special backing that keeps the interior smooth—without the need for lining—while giving the exterior a modern, sculptural look. The team worked closely with our tannery to ensure we achieved the correct depth of this timeless, deep Cacao color. The result is a bold statement piece that moves beautifully, commands attention, and brings a powerful, modern energy to your wardrobe.”

Sheer Genius
“For fall, we were drawn to a moodiness that feels distinctly New York. Blackened color and materials with luster played a big part. This reversible style delivered both, especially evident in the Acacia colorway, where deep cognac tones are grounded by that darkened hue. The fabric was specially developed to offer luxurious, long-pile shearling at the face with sleek patent leather on the reverse side. We worked closely with the tannery to ensure the patent finish carried just the right amount of subtle texture. The concept was to contrast the sophistication of a classic trench or car coat—providing premium warmth and a high-shine statement.”

Well Suited
“This suit speaks to sharp tailoring, but with effortless ease in its light construction. Creating the blazer’s softly rounded shoulder demanded careful attention, while extensive pattern development refined the pant’s leg shape to create volume and balanced movement. In developing the color, we elected for a top-dyed process to ensure a rich, deep, evenly saturated color, perfected through multiple rounds of yarn-dips. Studio Wool, our not-quite-a-flannel, flannel, lent itself to our vision of lightweight, deconstructed tailoring—garments that are meticulous in construction yet effortless in appearance. Pieces that don’t overstate their complexity, but instead embody it quietly, much like the fabric itself.”
